3 Nova Edgar Mansfield, 96, formerly of rural Bogard, Mo., died on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at the Life Care Center, Carrollton, Mo.
He was born on Feb. 3, 1908 in rural Locksprings, Mo., the son of Oliver and Bertha Leticia Bills Mansfield.
On Dec. 19, 1931, he married Alta Irene Lightfoot at United Methodist Church, Carrollton, Mo., She died on Nov. 12, 1999.
He attended Brookshire Country School, near Locksprings, and was a member of Locksprings Methodist Church.
He was a farmer and spent most of his life in Carroll County, Mo. He had served on the Van Horn Township Board.
Survivors include four daughters, Freda Trussell and Joyce Citron, both of Bogard, Mo., Judy White of St. Joseph, Mo., and Jane Collins of Nixa, Mo., two sons, Edgar Mansfield of Independence, Mo., and Darrell Mansfield of Tina, Mo., a brother, Ralph Mansfield of Kearney, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; a sister; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Mo. Rev. Bruce Trussell will officiate.
Burial will be at Coloma Cemetery, Coloma, Mo.
