Alta I. Mansfield, 86, formerly of Bogard, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999. at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
She was Born Feb. 15, 1913, in rural Carroll County, the daughter of Jacob E. and Ella D. White Lightfoot.
On Dec. 19, 1931, she married Nova E. Mansfield at the United Methodist Church in Carrollton. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Mansfield attended White Swan School. She was a housewife, spending most of her lifetime in Carroll County. Mrs. Mansfield was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bogard.
Survivors also include four daughters, Freda Trussell and Joyce Citron, both of Bogard, Judy White of St. Joseph and Jane Collins of Columbia; two sons, Edgar of Independence and Darrell of Tina; a brother, Clyde Lightfoot of Chillicothe; two sisters, Fae Barr of Brunswick and Lorene Mansfield of Carrollton; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister, four brothers, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today (Monday, Nov. 15, 1999), at the Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton. The Rev. Bruce Trussell officiated. Burial was at the Coloma Cemetery, Coloma.
