Mrs. Milner Dies at Cisne

Funeral Here Friday Afternoon for Former Resident
Mrs. Martha E. Milner, 64, resident of East Saint Louis for 30 years, died Tuesday night in her home at Cisne, Illinois. The body is at the Linder funeral home, 1023 Pennsylvania Avenue. Services will be held in the Linder chapel at 2 PM Friday. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Milner was born in Wayne county. Her husband, William D. Milner, for 28 years was chief of Swift & Co. Police at National Stock Yards. He retired two years ago and moved to Cisne.

Mrs. Milner leaves 10 children, all of East Saint Louis. They are Mrs. Marguerite Green, Mrs. Marie Mathews, Mrs. Mildred Tate, Mrs. Mary Lucas, Mrs. Mamie Shepard, Joseph, Logan, Harry, Robert and Oliver Milner. She also is survived by one sister, Mrs. Sadie Markham, East Saint Louis, and four brothers, Robert of Hilltop, Ark., James of Centralia, Taylor of Clinton, Ill., and Volney Borland of East Saint Louis.

Milner; mother of Joseph, Logan, Harry, Robert, Oliver, Mrs. Marguerite Green, Mrs. Marie Mathews, Mrs. Mildred Tate, Mrs. Mary Lucas, Mrs. Mamie Shepard, all of East Saint Louis; sister of Volney Borland, Sadie Markahm of East Saint Louis, Taylor Borland of Clinton, Ill., James Borland of Centralia, Ill., Robert Borland of Hilltop, Ark.; and survived by 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral from Linder Funeral Home, 11th and Pennsylvania Ave., Friday, July 14, at 2 PM Services will be by Rev. Charles Hartman. Interment Greenwood cemetery. Linder service.
