SAMUEL DELAUDER, one of the best known and meet highly respected citizens of this valley, died at his residence near Broad Run, about half past 12 o'clock Tuesday after a lingering illness, in the 73d year of his age. The deceased had been a great sufferer from rheumatism for several years and for some months past he was at times extremely ill.

Mr. Delauder was a prosperous farmer, a kind and obliging neighbor and friend and a devoted husband and father. He will be greatly missed in the community in which he lived.

He leaves a widow, who is a sister of Mrs. Asa Bowlus and Mr. Peter W. Shafer, of this place, and four sons and three daughters: Robert S., living at home; Edgar C., Boyds Station, Montgomery Co.; John P., Baltimore county; and George S., Springfield, Oh.; Sarah, wife of Mr. Jacob M. Huffer; Mary, wife of Mr. Geo. C. Huffer; and Maline, wife of Mr. Joseph Hanen, all residing near Broad Run.

Deceased was a member of the Reformed church of this place, where services were held yesterday morning. Interment was made in the Reformed cemetery.
