Little is known about Noah and Bessie after they married. Their daughter, Marian, was born in the same calendar year in which they were married in 1911. Then there is a record of Noah enlisting in the military in 1917 from Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio. There are no other records for Bessie yet Noah was listed as living back with his parents in the 1920 US Census in Findlay and his marital status was marked as single. Their daughter was living with her maternal grandparents for the 1920 US Census in York County, Pennsylvania.

It is not known if they remained in Pennsylvania or moved to Findlay, Ohio after the birth of their daughter. There are multiple records of a Bessie Gruber being married in Pennsylvania but none of the records list a maiden name nor the parents name.

This appears to be a case in which the mother may have died but the father preferred for the daughter to be raised by the grandparents. Noah eventually remarried and died in 1953 in Naples, Florida. He was buried back in Findlay, Ohio. His obituary does not mention Bessie Weaver or their daughter, Marian.
