NOTE - The "10 children still alive" seems to be in error. I know of 10 total children she had with Jira Seely and 1 child with James Stephens by 1900 for a grand total of 11 children instead of the number 12 given. I suspect that there may have been one more that was either stillborn or died as an infant if the number 12 is to be believed correct.

However, I believe that she had 3 other children that had already died, as follows: Seth Seely died in 1882; Jira Seely died in 1869; and Henry Seely died in 1882. Therefore, assuming that she did have a grand total of 12 children, then at least 4 had already died leaving only 8 still living.
