I'm not positive that this is the correct Abraham Swartz. The surname is spelled consistent with the spelling convention used by his siblings. The age of the oldest son indicates a birth year of about 1854 which is consistent with a marriage date of 1851 (there might have been an older son who already left the household). However, Abraham shows his mother's birth location as Virginia instead of OH. This may have been an enumerator error in confusing it with the birth location of Catherine's father which was Virginia. Also, none of the names of the children seem consistent with the names of Abraham's ancestors or those used by his siblings for their children. He could have named the children as he saw fit without regard to customary naming conventions. Also, he seems to be the only sibling that relocated to Licking County, Ohio. All the other siblings either stayed in Fairfield County, Ohio, or moved to Shelby County, Illinois by 1880 with one sibling moving to Republic County, Kansas.

There is an Ohio Death database listing for an Abraham Swartz that was born 27 Oct 1830 and died 28 Jun 1918 in Muskingum County, Ohio which listed his parents as Henry Swartz and Cynthia Berry. That sounds very much like the correct Abraham Swartz but the birth date may be off slightly and the given name of his mother is not correct. His burial was in Licking County, Ohio which suggests that the 1870 and 1880 census records listed above may be correct after all.
