4 Russell O. Lightfoot, 84, of 97 Old Route 22 Road, Lewistown, and formerly of Strodes Mills, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at his residence.

Born Nov. 17, 1918, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Stewart and Rhoda (Rheam) Lightfoot.

Surviving are: seven children, Beverly Grove, St. Petersburg, FL, Wanda Markel, Lewistown, Robert A. Lightfoot, Willow St., William J. Lightfoot, Lancaster, Sandra L. Clinger and Dennis E. Lightfoot, both of Lewistown, Steven W. Lightfoot, Millersburg, and their mother, Dorothy S. Kauffman Nichols; a sister, Arlene Confer, Michigan; a brother, Howard Lightfoot, Texas; 22 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

He retired from Standard Steel with 35 years of service.

He served in the U.S. Army, a veteran of World War II.

He was a Baptist by Faith.

His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown with Rev. Jacob T. Traxler officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
