General Notes:
It appears that Edmund had no middle name, as evidenced by several documents including his WW I and WW II Draft Registration Cards. At that time he was characterized as "short, medium build, grey eyes, and dark brown hair." He seemed to prefer the name of Edward rather than Edmund in his latter years as evidenced by census records and newspaper articles. --------------------------
As strange as it may seem but due to the great expanse of age requirements to register for the military draft, Edmund actually had to register for both World War I and World War II. His age on the WW II Draft Registration card in 1942 showed that he was 62 years old so it would be very doubtful that he would have ever been called into duty. -------------------------------

• Edmund Drugan registered for WW II Draft: 1942, Trempealeau, WI.
7 I'm not exactly sure how this worked but I find it strange that men aged 62 years such as Edmund had to register for the draft. Given the info at the top of the card, I believe this specific registration card was being used for men aged older than 45.
