They were living next to brothers-in-law Charles, and Andrew Drugan. If she had 2 children that had already died, then they were probably Elizabeth and Mary because the others are known to have lived beyond 1900.

• She was buried on 27 September 1911 in the Old Catholic Cemetery in Trempealeau, WI.

There are actually two gravestones: her relatively newer flat gravestone in the Drugan family plot says "Mother - Ellen Drugan". There are no dates or other information on it but there is a small cross engraved at the top. It is immediately adjacent to and identical to the gravestone of her husband, Peter.

There is also an older tall monument stone that says "Mother - Ellen Drugan, April 6, 1846 - September 27, 1911". Any other markings on the monument, if any, are worn away and unreadable.

It is not known why there are two markers for the grave of Ellen but it is my belief that during 1960s-1970s, the Drugan family replaced and added the newer flat gravestones that are much easier to read than the old weathered stones.

The original plot map obtained from the Catholic Church shows Ellen to be buried in Lot 65, Grave 2.
