  General Notes:

Thomas Lightfoot was apparently adopted by William B. Hardin, the 2nd husband of his mother. His name was later changed to Thomas William Hardin. He appears living with the Hardin family in the 1930 US Census but still under the name Thomas Lightfoot. When he married, his children had the surname of Hardin.

  Birth Notes:

On the birth certificate for Thomas, it indicates that he was the second child born to Mary and that the first child was dead. Strangely the name of the street for the residence of Mary seems to be different than that of Clem but I think that was probably just a clerical error. Clem's address was given as 6706 Parnell Avenue while Mary's seems to read as 6706 Paine Street. In addition, this is one of the few documents in which Mary's name appears as "Mary Elizabeth Hand" instead of "Mary Minnie Hand".
