The birth record seems to be unique in that it references a birth location of "Illinois, Muscatine County, Iowa". The only thing separating Muscatine County from the state of Illinois is the Mississippi River and I have yet to discover and communities or townships in Muscatine County that were known as Illinois. It is probably a mistake made by the person entering the information for the index database.

NOTE - This is strange. She is the only daughter to have been born in Illinois. Her parents, Neal and Lucy Wymer, must have moved to Illinois for a short period of time. Muscatine was right on the border but there was very little in settlements across the Mississippi River on the Illinois side.

Miss Lora Wymer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Wymer,was born near Illinois City, Illinois, June, 2, 1898. She departed this life June 30, 1917, being 19 years, 28 days of age.

Lora bore her suffering patiently, being always cheerful, having a smile for everyone.

Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. George N. Mendenhall of Grace Lutheran church.
