The obituary for his mother in 1930 indicates that he lived in Letts, Iowa. However, this does not make sense. The census records show that he and his wife moved to Muscatine county by 1900 and remained there for the rest of their lives.

His own obituary indicated that he died at the home of his daughter, Eunice Whisler, in Letts, Iowa in 1942. Perhaps after the 1940 census, he became ill and for some reason his elderly wife could not care for him so he moved in with his daughter.

Neal C. Wymer, a retired farmer of Muscatine, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joe Whisler, Route 2, Letts, Iowa. Mr. Wymer had been ill since June. He was born February 14, 1872 in Cedar County, Iowa; the son of Eunice (Lightfoot) Wymer and James Wymer, Jr. Shortly after birth his parents moved to Muscatine County and Mr. Wymer made his home in the county since that time. His marriage to Lucy Huston took place on March 5, 1893 in Marion, Iowa.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Joe Whisler of Letts, Iowa, and Mrs. Jack Hall of Moscow, Iowa; three brothers, James D. Wymer and Luke C. Wymer of Drummond, Oklahoma, and George Wymer of Muscatine, Iowa; five sisters, Mrs. Susan Ida Fisher, Mrs. Elizabeth Stratton of Muscatine, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Alice Baker of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Etta Doty of Drummond, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Frances Meadows of Rockford, Illinois; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His parents, three sons and one daughter preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 2:30 Sunday at the Fairbanks Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine, Iowa.
