Caroline Lucille (Renton) Wood, age 82, of W4575 Woodlund Rd., Peshtigo died on Thursday, April 29, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Loomis, WI. on August 21, 1921 daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ernest (Anna Steig) Renton, she graduated from Marinette High School class of 1939. For several years she did housekeeping and child care for many area families. In 1956, Caroline married Emil Peterson and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1994. On July 11, 1998 she married Lawrence Wood. Caroline loved dancing, playing cards, knitting and crocheting. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be forever in our hears, gone but never forgotten.
Caroline is survived by Her husband Lawrence; Daughters; LaVon (Carlon) Strutz, Marinette; Nancy Webster, Green Bay; Sons, Raymond (Sandy) Kamin; Dale Kamin; James Kamin, all of Marinette; Mark Peterson, Kewanee, WI; Brian (Dawn) Peterson, Marinette; Brothers, Kenneth Renton, Grand Rapids, MI; Gilbert (Lorraine) Renton, Marinette
22 Grandchildren; 23 Great-grandchildren; Step-children, Alan (Barbara) Wood, Elkhorn, WI; Julie (Randy) Gummin, Green Bay; Sue (Rev. Dale) Wilford, Rosholt, WI; Sandy Paulsen, Menominee, MI; Charles (Nola) Wood, Neenah; 13 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; Many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 grandson, 2 great-grandchildren, 1 daughter-in-law, and 1 sister-in-law.
Friends may call at the Berth & Rosenthat Funeral Home on Saturday, May 1 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Ronald Helgerson will be officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, MI.
