• Her obituary was published in the Unknown newspaper in September 1967 in Lordsburg, NM.

Mrs. Margaret Virginia Lacy, 92, a pioneer resident of Grant County, died this past week in the Gila General hospital at Globe; Ariz. She had lived in San Simon, Ariz., in recent years. Mrs. Lacy was the mother of twelve children, five of whom survive her; three sons, Perry M. Lacy of Hurley, John D. of Miami, Ariz., and Robert H. of Globe, Ariz., and two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Lilly) Barns of San Simon and Mrs. Hurley (Margaret) Colbert of Globe. Other survivors are 23 grandchildren, including Victor Lacy, Lester Lacy and Evelyn Wright of Silver City; 72 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Heather Mortuary chapel in Lordsburg, with burial following In the Lordsburg Cemetery.
