5 James S. Lightfoot, 84, 2512 New Pine Drive, Altoona, died Tuesday at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona. James was born January 18, 1917 in Eau Claire to Charles and Rose (Stoops) Lightfoot. He worked as a shoemaker for most of his life. He also worked at Don's Go Get 'Em Sports Shop. He was an avid sportsman and a religious man. He enjoyed walking around town visiting his friends.
He is survived by one sister, Hazel Lightfoot of Eagleton, Wisconsin; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Anastasia Bacher; and one brother, Andrew.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 AM Thursday, March 29th, 2001, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Janusz Kowalski officiating. Internment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorials to Sacred Heart Parish are preferred.
Golden Funeral Home is serving the family.
