• Her obituary was published in the Borger News Herald on 20 March 1951 in Borger, TX.

Mrs. Addie Giffen, 87, died at her home, 421 Coble, about 2 a.m. this morning following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Giffen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a pioneer resident of this city. She first came to Borger in 1926.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J. E. Evans, Borger, and Mrs. Gertrude Deutman, St. Louis, Mo.; four sons, John H., Borger; W. W., Washington, D.C.; Chalmers, Watseka, Ill.; Bryson, LaFeria, Texas, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending, with the body resting at the Minton Funeral Home.
