Elizabeth died on Tuesday, the 13th of July 2004. She was having internal bleeding, caused by one of her osteoporosis medications, but didn't know it. Her sons saw her on Monday evening, and on Tuesday morning, they found her sitting in a chair at the table, taking her last breaths. By the time that the paramedics arrived, she was completely gone. She has been buried with her father and husband at the IOOF cemetery in Mount Vernon, MO. The funeral was held on Thursday (15 July 2004).
