• His obituary was published in the Sapulpa Herald in May 1987 in Creek County, OK.

The Rev. George W. Alsup, 82, Tulsa, died Monday at home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Century Cathedral Church, Tulsa.

Burial will be at Sunrise Cemetery, located west of Kellyville, under the direction of Butler Stumpff Funeral Home, Tulsa.

Mr. Alsup was a minister for the Assembly of God Churches for more then 50 years. He was a pastor in Sapulpa for more then eight years. He also was a pastor in Broken Arrow, Tulsa, Sayre and Gracemont in Oklahoma, and in Missouri and California.

Survivors include wife Hazel; son the Rev. Bob of Tulsa; daughters Joyce Griffitts of Oklahoma City and Evelyn Shackleford of Greenville, Texas; Seven grandchildren; and nine Great-grandchildren.
