Following the death of her husband in 1905, Rachel must have moved to Hazleton, Buchanan County, Iowa where her older sister, Aurilla, was buried and it appears that her younger brother, had also recently moved to that area. Some of her other siblings were also likely living in the area. She died in Hazleton on 22 Feb 1910.
