  Marriage Notes:

Both Simon and Margaret appeared in the 1885 Iowa State Census living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It is not known if they both died and were buried in Iowa but at least one reseacher, Jo Arnspiger, shows that Margaret was buried near her mother in Mount Zion Cemetery in Lucas, Richland County, Ohio. No other death or burial information has yet been found for either person.

After their marriage, they initially remained in Richland County, Ohio from 1822 until sometime in 1842 when they moved to Linn County, Iowa.

They must have moved to Linn County, Iowa in 1842 because daughter Retuya's birth date and location was given as 1842 in Ohio (based on 1850 census data) and meanwhile the oldest daughter, Aurilla, was later married in Linn County, Iowa on 09 Oct 1842.
