(Mary was widowed and living with her 6 children. If her birth date was 5 Sep 1810, then her age should have been 49 instead of 48.

Joseph and Mary Ellen were both married in 1859 but I am unable to locate Margaret E. in the 1860 census when she would have been only 12 years old. I suspect that her name was just missed by the enumerator because she later appears in the 1870 census.)

(Mary was widowed and living with 3 children. If Mary's birth date was 5 Sep 1810, then her age should have been 59 instead of 65.

The appearance of the name of Shannon is problematic. There are four possible and logical solutions. The first is that Shannon was another son which is considered unlikely. The second is that the name of Simon was erroneously misspelled as Shannon. The third is that Shannon was a nickname for Simon. The fourth is that the ages of Simon and Margaret were erroneously reversed; Simon should have been 20 and Margaret should have been 22. All of these overlook that the name of the son, Michael Lewis, is missing on this census and presumed to be living elsewhere.

• She was buried after 14 February 1878 in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Lucas, OH.
