Possible 1900 US Census

Harry N. Medbery may have been enumerated for the 1900 US Census in Fargo, ND indexed under the name of "H. N. Medbry". On that listing he provides a birth date of April 1837 (instead of April 1836) but gives his birth location as New York instead of the expected Illinois. His age is 63 and he indicated that he has been married for 0 years but there is no listing for his wife. His occupation is listed as "Collesktor" (?).

bullet  Marriage Notes:

The 1870 US Census shows both Henry and Harriet living in the home of her parents. With Henry is a 2 year old daughter named Lizzie who is believed to have come from a previous marriage of Henry although some sources claim she was an illegitimate daughter born to Harriet.

What is strange about the 1870 US Census is that some sources claim that Henry and Harriet were married in 1864 although I have yet to find any source document or record to support that date. If it were true, then the 2 year old daughter would most likely be Harriet's. But what is strange is that Harriet was listed on the census with her maiden name and in the correct chronological order with her other siblings which is the method typically used for the unmarried children in the household. Any married child is typically listed after the name of the spouse, with the married surname, and after the other children in the household. Why this was not done on the 1870 US Census remains a question.
----------------------------------------------------------

Henry (Harry) was enumerated in 1890 by himself on the 1890 US Census of Union Veterans of Civil War living in LaMoure County, ND with no mention of his wife.

Neither have been found in the 1900 US Census.

Harriet is found in the 1910 US Census living in Sheldon, Ransom County, North Dakota with her 3 year old granddaughter, Frances Baghot-De La Bere. Harriet was noted as being married. Harry was enumerated in 1910 as living by himself in Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota.
