The county death register shows Abraham Fast died while a resident of the "Infirmary" in Mercer County, Ohio. This was the county's version of the poor-house. Thus his burial location was probably one of the pauper burial sites at various cemeteries in the area and was most likely not marked. ![]()

Abraham Fast married Alvernon (Lovett) Reynolds in 1880 after her first husband, J. W. Reynolds, traveled west and hadn't come home or been heard from. When her daughter, Phoebe Anna Fast, was young, Abraham set Alvernon up in a house in Saint Mary's, Ohio. The reason for this is supposedly that Abraham's older children didn't like or approve of the marriage. Alvernon's first husband did show up or wrote to her after she had remarried. (This was information that was told to me by Elizabeth Hossler who received the information from Ruth (Hossler) Wood.) |
