bullet  General Notes:

NOTE - There is a problem with the indexing and numbering of the enumeration sheets for Congress Township, Wayne County, Ohio for the 1920 US Census. Emma Dodd, the widowed sister was listed on the bottom of Sheet 5B while Cora Smith was listed at the very top line of Sheet 6B with no house or family number and a relationship of "Sister" instead of the expected Self or Head if Cora actually was living alone. This method of data entry would seem to indicate that it was a continuation from the previous sheet. Moving back to Sheet 6A the last person listed was an Alexander Christian, age 50, who was listed as the head of the household. However, his birth location was West Virginia as was the birth location for both his mother and father. This does not match the birth locations of Cora's parents which was Ohio and Pennsylvania. Cora did not have a brother that was 9 years older. It is my belief that these pages have been mixed up with other locations in Wayne County, Ohio.

It is interesting to note that her only sister, Emma, was listed as the last entry on Sheet 5B of Congress Township and that she was noted as living in household 81. The entry following Cora Smith on sheet 6B was household 81. Its almost as if the entire sheet 6A is out of place and that the true sequence goes from sheet 5B to 6B. In fact, the probable misplaced sheet 6A is for a different location, Burbank Village, whereas sheets 5B and 6B are for the rural areas of Congress Township in Wayne County.

It is my belief that sheets 5B and 6B are sequential and continuous which would mean that Cora was living in the same household with her old widowed sister, Emma Dodd.
