Eli's gravestone in the Nova Cemetery is a gothic top tablet of white sandstone. The lettering is in both relief and deep cut engraving which still allows for relatively easy reading after many years of weathering. The inscription reads "Eli R. Fast, Died March 16, 1861, Aged 45y & 12d".
