Following the death of his wife in 1877, not much is know of what happened to Ezra. His son, William Robert Lee Willard, was married in Burlington, Iowa in 1889 but it is not know if Ezra was there at the time. Other children were married in Illinois, South Carolina, and Tennessee but there is no record of Ezra living in any of those places.
