• Her obituary was published in October 1999. ⁶ Inez Fay Crees Rogers, 83, formerly of 1219 Orange St., died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at Waterford Estates in Hazel Crest, Ill., where she had resided for over a year.

Services will be at Wesley United Methodist Church, 400 Iowa Avenue. Dr. Hal Green will officiate. A private family burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation and the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

She was born on June 5, 1916, in Atalissa, the daughter of E. M. and M. Grace Carney Crees. She was united in marriage to Lawrence L. Rogers on July 12, 1939, in St. Louis, MO. She was a graduate of Browns Business College and had worked at the Muscatine County Court House for several years. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Esther Circle of the United Methodist Women. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star and also belonged to the Y's Est with the YWCA. She enjoyed the arts, ceramics and was very proficient in sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1997, a daughter, Patricia L. Rogers, a sister in infancy and a brother, Leonard Crees.
