⁸ Funeral services are pending at the George M. Wittich funeral home for Mrs. M. Grace Crees, 78, who died at 9 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, 1219 Orange St.

Mrs. Crees had been a Muscatine resident since 1953. She was born March 11, 1889, in Cedar county, the daughter of Thomas J. and Eunice Jennings Carney.

She was married Sept. 8, 1909, in Cedar county, to Edgar M. Crees. She was a member of the Atalissa Christian church, and a 50 year member of the O.E.S. at Atalissa.

Surviving are two sons, Leonard E. Crees of Muscatine and Ivan W. Crees of Davenport; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Inez) Rogers of Muscatine; and a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Almira) Riddle, Albuquerque, N M; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.
