"Peter was engaged to Elizabeth Shafer at the time of his death. A license was taken out in Frederick County 20 April 1803. He died before the marriage. Peter and Elizabeth had an illegitimate daughter, Mary, born 24 December 1803, after Peter's death. Elizabeth married Peter Kepler, [Peter's cousin,] 16 April 1807 in Frederick County, Maryland. They moved to Indiana where Mary died in 1894. (from Alta Siegert.)"
