Mary Catick-Cadeck was baptized 15 Oct 1786 at the German Lutheran Church in Frederick County, Maryland. The state line between Pennsylvania and Maryland was not clear and many pioneers were not sure in which state their property was. It wasn't until the Mason-Dixon Line was surveyed that it was determined once for all. Mary's mother, Catharina Darner-Dorner was born 5 Mar 1762 in Middletown, Frederick County, Maryland.
