   Another name for Catherina was Maria Salome Dubs.

Catherina married Adam Gaedel Schmidt, son of Johan George Hans Jurig Schmidt and Catherina Barbara Schaeffer, in 1768.¹ (Adam Gaedel Schmidt was born about 1743 in Lehigh Township, Northampton County, PA, British Colonial America and died after 1810 ¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

Researchers are split over the true name of Adam's one wife or possibly two wives. Many show that he was married to Maria Salome Dubs about 1768 and they produced at least 5 children. Many others show that he was married to Catherina Dubs, a younger sister of Maria, but they provide the same exact year of marriage and the same exact 5 children. Obviously, much of the data is flawed unless Maria and Catherina happened to be the same person.

In addition, some then show that Adam was remarried to Anna Barbara (unknown) sometime around 1780 and fathered at least 4 additional children with her.
