Adam Gaedel Schmidt ^{1 2}

Adam married Catherina Salome Dubs, daughter of Oswald Dubs and Maria Salome Baumann, in 1768.¹ (Catherina Salome Dubs was born in 1752 in Manheim Township, York County, PA, British Colonial America and died about 1805.)

  Marriage Notes:

Researchers are split over the true name of Adam's one wife or possibly two wives. Many show that he was married to Maria Salome Dubs about 1768 and they produced at least 5 children. Many others show that he was married to Catherina Dubs, a younger sister of Maria, but they provide the same exact year of marriage and the same exact 5 children. Obviously, much of the data is flawed unless Maria and Catherina happened to be the same person.

In addition, some then show that Adam was remarried to Anna Barbara (unknown) sometime around 1780 and fathered at least 4 additional children with her.
