¹ Mrs. Sarah Frances Darner, widow of J. S. Warren Darner, died at her ho me in Jefferson this morning at 5:20 o'clock after an immediate illness of five days. She was 81 years of age.

She was the daughter of the late Zebulon and Elizabeth (Gardner) Weking. A devout member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mrs. Darner had been a member of its Sunday school since a little girl and for many years had sung in the church choir. She was highly respected as a fine woman and mother among a wide circle of friends.

Surviving her are one son and one daughter, Z. Preston Darner and Mrs. Harry C. Summers. Both of Jefferson. One sister, Mrs. Clara W. Howe, Custar, Wood County, Ohio, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The funeral took place from her home in Jefferson on Sunday afternoon at 2 :30 o'clock. Rev. A. G. Null, assisted by Rev. Claude Corl, officiated. Members of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church choir sang. The pallbearers were Abram Hemp, C. E. Fry, Harry Burrier, Harry C. Pennell, Harry W. Wise and Robert M. Thrasher. There were many beautiful floral emblems and the funeral was largely attended. Internment was in Saint Paul's Lutheran cemetery.
