General Notes:
[Brøderbund WFT Vol. 3, Ed. 1, Tree #4129, James A. Mayhew] I was extremely fond of my cousin Adrian when we were children although I had very little contact with him. He lived on a farm near Romney. I recall that he had set up a play grocery store in a shed that his father had let him use. We had great time in the store.
I saw him next in 1950 where I met his wife and some of his children. After the war he had a hard time adjusting to life. He had the opportunity to enter into the orchard business with his father but declined to do so.
My last visit with Adrien was in 1989 when I saw him briefly at his gun shop and home in Romney. We had a picture taken together. He had an earlier battle with lung cancer which recurred elsewhere and was the eventual cause of his demise.
Was a decorated veteran of World War II. Owned and operated a gun shop selling and trading guns. ---------------------------------------- 1
