  General Notes:

The somewhat unique name of Susie Lucille Whisler appears on two birth records for children born to her and Russell Martin in Muscatine County, Iowa in 1928 and 1930. I can find no marriage record for the couple but the name of Susan was missing from her parents 1930 Census record so she must have been married to Russell Martin in about 1927.

There is another marriage record for her in 1939 marrying Calvin Albert Brenner but what is strange about that marriage record is that it shows her name as Susan Lucille Whisler instead of her married name which would have been Susan Lucille Martin at the time. The marriage record makes no mention of her previous marriage nor does it distinguish her current name from her maiden name. Perhaps the marriage record was not filled out correctly or perhaps Susan just preferred to use her maiden name for her second marriage.

⁹ Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Brenner, 63, were held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Rev. Ralph Fischer officiated.

Mrs. Floyd Scott was organist.

Pallbearers were Joseph Whisler, Mike Nicewanner, Jim Nicewanner, and Eddie Nicewanner, all nephews of Mrs. Brenner.
Interment was at Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Brenner died Monday night at her home, 519 1/2 Mulberry Ave.
