  Marriage Notes:

After their first son, Elza, was born in Ohio, Jesse and Christina moved to Nebraska where they apparently spent the rest of their lives. They were enumerated in the 1900, 1920, and 1940 US Census in Boyd County, Nebraska. I cannot find any record of them in the 1910 US Census so perhaps they were missed.

In the 1930 US Census, Christina was enumerated by herself as "Head of Household" but it appears that she was managing a boarding hotel in the city of Butte instead of living on a family farm. There was no mention of Jesse but Christina's marital status was still shown as married. Later, the 1940 US Census showed them living back together again so it appears that at least for 1930, Jesse was off doing something by himself but there are no records to indicate why he was absent from the home.
