Here is the story told to me by Florus Lightfoot, my grandfather and son of Jacob and Nancy. They were both born in Ohio. Nancy was engaged to Jacob's brother, Levi. Both boys entered the army to serve in the Civil War. (I think the first Ohio volunteers). Levi died of measles during the war. I have a picture of the two boys in uniforms. Jacob brought home Levi's personal effects which included a tintype of Nancy. I have it.
