Given the young age of the bride (16 years), this was a short marriage that supposedly resulted in the birth of one daughter, Verna Geraldine Behtz. Verna was remarried in 1923. I have found other records that show a John Henry Behtz being remarried in 1926 to Edna Aurand in nearby Galesburg, Illinois. I'm not totally sure if it is the same John Henry Behtz but those records provide a birth date for him of 23 Dec 1897 and a death date in Burlington, Iowa of Dec 1984.
