Sallie, daughter of Jacob and Mary Houser, married John, son of John and Mary Ann "Polly" (Arnspiger) Houser, and to this union two sons were born. Braxton who died at about nine months of age and Richard who lived to about twenty-two years of age. This family first lived in Kentucky, then moved to Logan County, Illinois. Mrs. Houser preceded her husband many years in death.
