Jess Dye, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Dye, was born Sept. 18th, 1878, died at the home of his parents in Bosworth Sept. 18th, 1898, at the age of 20 years.

Jesse professed faith in Christ Sept. 2nd, and was baptized into the fellowship of the Baptist Church Sept. 4th. His sickness was very severe which he bore patiently and seemed perfectly resigned to the Master's will. Funeral services were conducted by the writer and was attended by a large concourse of his relatives and friends.

Jesse was a good boy and loved by all. He leaves a father, mother, two brothers, and a sister to mourn his death. May God comfort them in their sore affliction.

Jesse was a young man of good character, and a favorite among his wide circle of friends. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and had united with the Baptist church and was baptized two weeks previous to his death.

Jesse had been a sufferer from spinal trouble ever since early in the spring and although he received the best medical aid possible and...(news clipping cut off at this point).
