Norman J. Dye was born in Porter County, Indiana on February 10, 1857, and died in Tillamook, Oregon, on July 24, 1930. At 12 years of age, he moved with his parents to Sheldon, Missouri, where on November 6, 1877, he was married to Nannie Woods. Four children were born the this union, of whom two are still living and reside in Tillamook. Mrs. O. W. Kinnaman and Mr. Connie Dye. He also leaves one brother, Ithamer Dye of Amsterdam, Missouri.

The family moved to Tillamook in 1900.

Mr. Dye was converted early in life and was a member of the Christian church during his residence in Missouri. He united with the United Brethren church at Beaver several years ago and was for many years an earnest Christian worker. He was also a member of the fraternal society, the Woodmen of the World.

His funeral was held (??)nday with services in the United Brethren church conducted by Rev. E. (Ross?). The quartette, Ira White, (?), C. W. Barrick, and C. H. (?) assisted in the services.

Interment was made (?)I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Another old resident of this county has answered the summons to the great beyond. Norman J. Dye, who for 30 years has assisted in the development of the, was buried Sunday from the United Brethren Church in Tillamook, Rev. B. Ross Evans reading the service, and interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

He was born in Porter County, Indiana, February 10, 1857, and moved with his parents from Indiana to Sherman, Missouri at the age of 12 years. Growing to manhood here, he married Nannie Woods on November 6, 1877, and to this union four children were born. He was a member of the Christian church in Missouri, but united with the United Brethren church in Beaver several years ago and has remained an active worker in the church during his life. He was also a member of the W.O.W.

He is survived by two children, Mrs. O. W. Kinnaman and Connie Dye, both of Tillamook, and one brother, Ithamer Dye of Amsterdam, Missouri.
