LOG FIRM OWNER FOUND SHOT DEAD
Tillamook, February 9, 1952

Cecil Dye, 40, owner of the Dye logging company here was found dead in his home Friday afternoon from a gunshot wound in the head.

Tillamook County Coroner, Alan E. Lundberg, District Attorney John W. Hath away, and Sheriff Allen Birch, in a joint post-mortem report said the wound apparently was self-inflicted. Dye had been in ill health for several months. A past exalted ruler of the Tillamook Elks Lodge, Dye is survived by the widow, Helen, and two children, Connie and Judy. He was born and reared in Tillamook. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.

Wedding Announcement:

Miss Delphia Bestul and Cecil Dye were united in marriage at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Connie Dye, on Tuesday night at 8:30, Rev. B. Ross Evans officiating. Mrs. Ethel Lyster, sister of the groom, was the bride's assistant and Kermit Bestul, brother of the bride, was best man. Only members of the immediate families were present.

The bride's gown was of pink silk crepe and she carried a bouquet of pink carnations and gladiolus.

The young couple left Thursday for Sandy, where they will be for several months.

They expect to return later to Tillamook.
