Mary Bella Rhone ^{2 3}

  General Notes:

There are several census records from 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940 that show a Mary Longenecker. There were several Mary Longeneckers born in Pennsylvania in the same year of 1889 so these are the ones that show up on those census records instead of the Mary Rhone that married Lewellyn Longenecker.

After the marriage to Lewellyn in 1919, I can find no other records of what happened to the couple.

Mary married Lewellyn Longenecker, son of Samuel Longenecker and Annie M. Bobmer, on 23 March 1919 in Shippensburg, PA.¹ (Lewellyn Longenecker was born in 1888 and died after 23 March 1919.)

  Marriage Notes:

Mary Bella Rhone indicated on the marriage license that she had been previously married and was divorced in Cumberland County Court on 2 July 1917 on grounds of desertion.

This license was issued on 22 Mar 1919 in Dauphin County, PA which is where both Lewellyn and Mary lived. At the bottom, the minister stated that he then performed the marriage ceremony on 3 Mar 1919 in Shippensburg, PA which was 19 days prior to the actual issuance of the license. Perhaps he meant to write 23 instead of 3 so therefore I am assuming that the actual marriage should be 23 Mar 1919 instead of the 3 Mar 1919 that is so often indexed and referenced by other researchers.
