⁴ Patricia June Vose Steglich, 69, of Bartlett, died Monday in a Temple hospital. Services will be at 2 PM Wednesday at Saint John Lutheran Church in Bartlett with the Rev. Alan Watt officiating. Burial will be in Saint John Lutheran Cemetery in Bartlett. She was born in Winona, Minnesota to Robert Vose and Marie Vose Hanson. She married Maurice William Steglich on June 8, 1947, in Barstow, Calif. She served as administrator of Will O'Bell Nursing Home for 18 years. She served as president of Capitol Area Chapter of Texas Nursing Home Association in 1972-73. She was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, choir member, and president of the women's group. She initiated the Saint John Advent Fair. She was named Bartlett Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 1987 for her civic work and spearheading the renovation of City Park. Under her direction the park received new sidewalks, a pavilion, a gazebo, trees, shrubbery, and plants. She served on the Bartlett City Council from 1987-89. Survivors are her husband, Maurice Steglich of Bartlett; one son, Timothy Steglich of Bartlett; three daughters, Rose Steglich of Austin, Nancy Ruemke of Arlington, and Jill Thayer of Sparks; her mother, Marie Vose of Lancaster, California; a sister, Judy Gentry of Lancaster; one brother, Jim Vose of Bremerton, Wash.; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM today at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett. Memorials may be made to Bartlett Fire Department, Saint John Lutheran Church Building Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
