14 Mrs. Lena Hanson, 86, died at her home Monday night, following a stroke suffered Sunday. The former Lena Kramer, she was born at Lewiston, Minn., July 25, 1865, and came when 12 years old with her parents to Trempealeau.

She lived at the lower end of Third Lake on a farm until her marriage to Lewis Hanson Oct. 9, 1888, when she moved to town. He died in 1935.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Eli (Mattie) Motschenbacher, Onalaska; Mrs. Vinson (Lena) Rice, Winona, and Mrs. Robert (Louise) Doss, Daggett, Calif.; one son, Harry, Baraboo; one brother, Julius, Trempealeau ; two sisters, Mrs. Norris Northup, Trempealeau, and Mrs. Theodore Gill, Waupun; 18 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

14 Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Hanson , 86, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the local Methodist Church, the Rev. A. E. Atwood officiating. Burial will be in the Trempealeau Cemetery. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Galesville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Survivors include Mrs. Robert Voss, Daggett, Calif., and Mrs. Vinson (Marie) Rice, Winona.
