Esther M. Menn, 88, formerly of 91 W. Water Street, Beaver Dam, died Monday, April 1, 1991, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.
The funeral will be at 2 PM Monday from Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Breitwisch officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens .
Mrs. Menn was born on Aug. 19, 1902, in the Town of Trenton, the daughter of Herman and Emma (Possin) Haase. She was married to George Menn on Dec. 12, 1933.
She lived in Monroe County for two years, moved to the Town of Trenton and then to Beaver Dam. She was a graduate of Ripon College and taught school for many years. She also farmed with her husband. She was active in 4-H, the Homemakers Club and the Republican Women's Club. She was also a member of the Women's Club and Church Women United. She has been involved in 4-H for over 40 years. She also established the First Homemakers Club. She wrote and published, "Wisconsin Footsteps."
Survivors include two sisters, Helene (Gottfried Reauter, San Marcos, California, Dorothy (Carlton) Bergemann, Janesville, Wisconsin; several nieces, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1983.
Friends may call from 12 noon until the hour of the service on Monday at Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
The Briese Roedl Weber Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
