• Her obituary was published in the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen on 27 March 1970 in Beaver Dam, WI. Mrs. Herman Haase (nee Emma Possin) formerly of 204 S. Vita Ave., Beaver Dam, died Thursday, March 26, at the Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 30, at 2:00 PM from the Briese Funeral Home, Rev. Russell Miller will officiate at the service and interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Haase was born December 20, 1878, in the Town of Theresa, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Possin. She was married to Herman Haase on June 27, 1901. She had lived in Theresa, the Town of Chester, the Town of Trenton, Beaver Dam and at Route 1, Fox Lake.
Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. George (Esther) Menn of Route 1, Fox Lake; Mrs. Gottfried (Helene) Reuter of South Milwaukee and Mrs. Carlton (Dorothy) Bergemann of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, G. E. Possin of Waupun; three sisters-in-law also survive.
Preceding in death were: her parents; her husband; six brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Haase was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church; the Ladies Aid of the church and of the Trenton Homemakers.
Friends may call at the Briese Funeral Home after 6:00 PM on Sunday until the hour of the service on Monday.

Emma married Herman Haase, son of Charles Haase and Wilhelmina Wetzel, on 27 June 1901 in Burnett, WI. (Herman Haase was born on 4 May 1872 in Minnesota Junction, WI,3 died on 15 October 1954 in Beaver Dam, WI 3 and was buried on 17 October 1954 in Beaver Dam, WI 3.). The cause of his death was Acute Myocardial Failure.
