bullet  Birth Notes:

The birth records of her children to include Aurilla, Olive, Francis, and Lloyd all give the birth location of the mother, Adeline LaVigne, to be Lamville, MN.

Researcher Robert C. Westphal gives the birth location name as Lamoille instead of Lamville. This makes logical sense because Lamoille is just a few miles north of Homer where she and Charles Perkins eventually settled for a few years. Another reason might be that the transcription of Lamoille could have been faulty and made to appear as Lamville instead.

In addition Lamoille is in Winona County which is where a lot of French and French-Canadian families and old fur traders had originally settled.

Although others gives un-sourced dates of death and death locations, I have yet to find any document or source to provide specific details.

bullet  Burial Notes:

There is no visible gravestone for Adeline. The sorely erroneous burial and cemetery lot ownership records from the Catholic church seem to indicate that Adeline was buried in Grave 2 of the 4 total grave sites in Lot 27. These lots are arranged in two rows with Graves 1 and 2 in the top row and Graves 3 and 4 in the lower row. But she probably is not buried in Grave 2 because her husband is buried in the lower row in Grave 3. Her brother-in-law, Nicholas Perkins, is the one buried in Grave 2. Typically the wife is buried next to the husband and not next to a brother-in-law. Most likely she is buried in Grave 4, next to her husband who was buried in Grave 3.

The owners of the memorial page on Find-A-Grave sidestep these errors in the records of the Catholic Church and merely mention that "She is presumed to be buried next to her husband Charles J. Perkins."

bullet  Marriage Notes:

Charles and Adeline were first married in Trempealeau County, Wisconsin in 1879 but their first son was born in Minnesota in 1881. After that they seemed to have moved to Minnesota and then back across the Mississippi River to Wisconsin. The result is that some of their children were born in Wisconsin while others were born in Minnesota without any direct correlation as to where the family may have been living at the time. This suggests that Adeline may have been staying with her relatives during the later parts of one or more of her pregnancies.
