9 Mrs. Olive Drugan, 78, Trempealeau, died Sunday, May 19 in a La Crosse hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Rev. Walter Brey officiating, and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Smith Mortuary in Galesville. The Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Drugan was born Sept. 2, 1889, in the Town of Trempealeau to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perkins. She married Hubert Drugan, Sr. Oct 21, 1914, and he died Sept. 20, 1949.

She is survived by two sons, Hubert and James, both of Trempealeau; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Hammond, Mrs. Hilman (Genevieve) Rogness, and Mrs. Brooks (Dorothy) Smith, all of Galesville, Mrs. Louis (Evelyn) Jessessky of Trempealeau and Mrs. Duane (Loretta) Johnson of Ettrick; two sisters, Mrs. Aurilla McCarty of Trempealeau and Mrs. Catherine Haggerty of St. Petersburg, Fla; two brothers, Jack Perkins of St. Cloud, Minn., and Lloyd of Lake Worth, Fla.; 33 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

10 Mrs. Olive Drugan, 78, Trempealeau, died Sunday morning at a La Crosse hospital.

The Former Olive Perkins, she was born September 2, 1889, in the town of Trempealeau to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perkins. She was married to Hubert Drugan, Sr. October 21, 1914. He died Sept. 20, 1949.

She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church and altar society, Towner - Little Bear - Arnold American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Surviving are: two sons, Hubert and James, Trempealeau; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Hammond, Mrs. Hilman (Genevieve) Rogness and Mrs. Brookes (Dorothy) Smith, Galesville; Mrs. Louis (Evelyn) Jessessky, Trempealeau, and Mrs. Duane (Loretta) Johnson, Ettrick; 33 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sister, Mrs. Aurilla McCarty, Trempealeau, and Mrs. Catherine Hagerty, St. Petersburg, Fla., and two brothers, Jack Perkins, St. Cloud, Minn. and Lloyd Perkins, Lake Worth, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew's Church the Rev. Walter Brey officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Drugan were surprised Saturday evening by neighbors and relatives on their 25th wedding anniversary. Guests present were Mrs. Stan Bortz and Frank Grover of La Crosse, Mrs. Frank Platt of Winona, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Willis of Galesville, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grover and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hammond and son, Robert Grover and Miss Lillian Grover of Tamarack, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Vandergale, Miss Veronica Baumgartner, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Perkins, Leo McCarty, Miss Kate La Vigne, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cowan and children, Miss Mamie Shrake and John Lucas of Trempealeau. Mrs. Drugan was attired in her wedding dress, when as Olive Perkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perkins, she was married to Hubert Drugan, 25 years ago, October 21 at St. Bartholomew's church by the Rev. Joseph F. Bushman. Mr. and Mrs. Drugan have lived here and recently Mr. Drugan was retired from the Northwestern bridge crew. The seven children are Mrs. Robert Hammond (Elizabeth) of Tamarack , Genevieve, Hubert Jr., James, Dorothy, Evelyn and Lauretta at home. Mr. and Mrs. Drugan were presented with a purse of silver and a lunch was served.
